The Back Bay Pet Company was established in my kitchen in the spring of 1991. As a cat owner I have purchased many cat toys. All of them fell apart within days, some within hours of bringing them home. This had inspired me to come up with the idea of making a cat toy that would last.

With the help of a friend, Dennis Oullette, we came up with the art work and a marketing plan. For the first couple of years, the Kitty Can't Cope Sack was sold in small specialty stores and veterinarian offices. Since then we have established relationships with such local supermarkets as Shop 'N Save, Shaw's, and even a few grocery chains in the mid-west.

It is gratifying to receive letters from cat lovers all over the United States that have purchased a Kitty Can't Cope Sack or had received one as a gift. Each letter is a testimony on how wonderful our toy is and that it is the only catnip toy their cat(s) will play with. These letters and their requests on how to purchase the KCCS inspired us to create this website. I believe that once you try the KCCS you too will join in with the hundreds we have heard from, proclaiming that it is the only toy your cats truly enjoy.
